Real Madrid had to fight the battle for 18 years to be crowned as kings of Spanish Football and what could be at its best when they beat their most fierce arch rivals Barcelona in an enthralling 120 minutes battle.

A great el clasico which would be remembered for a long time for many reasons.

• Real's 3 years silverware drought comes to an end
• Real Last won the Copa Del Rey in 1993
• Mourinho became the first coach in world football history to have won four cup titles in four different countries as coach
• Portugal (FC Porto)
• England (Chelsea)
• Italy (Inter Milan)
• Spain (Real Madrid)
• Ronaldo scores a goal against Barcelona for the first time in an open play

Real Madrid vs Barcelona El Clasico Game 1

Real Madrid vs Barcelona El Clasico game 1 ended in a 1-1 draw. Goals from Messi and Ronaldo from the spot saw the El Clasico end in a draw. Messi who had never scored before against any of Mourinho's team,  wiped out that record. Ronaldo who also had never scored against Barcelona, scored today.

It was a great game of football with chances for goals at both end. Real had Albiol sent off in 52nd minute and had to play with 10 men for rest of the game. Real showed great character and leveled the score in 82nd minute.

Overall, its Real Madrid who would take more positives from the match and this game might ignite the spark within the team to take on barcelona in remaining three El Clasico.

Real play Barcelona in Copa Del Rey Final in Wednesday, 20th April 2011 and then play two legged semi finals   in the last week of April 2011 and First week of May 2011

Watch out !!!!!!!!
